Scottsbluff & Alliance, NE — In response to delays in SNAP/EBT benefits, United Way of Western Nebraska is ramping up efforts to provide direct food resources to local families. Through mobile pantries, weekly distributions, and community partnerships, United Way is committed to ensuring no family goes hungry.

🛻 Mobile Food Pantry – Alliance

  • Date: Wednesday, October 29
  • Time: 4:00 PM
  • Location: Alliance Senior Center, 212 Yellowstone Ave
  • Details: Prepared to serve 250 households with fresh and shelf-stable food. One distribution per household. Free and open to the public.

📄 Intake & Proxy Forms

  • A brief intake form is required per household.
  • If unable to attend, proxy forms are available at:

  • To request a form by mail or email, call 308-635-2522.

🚗 Traffic Instructions

  • Line up at East 2nd Street & Yellowstone Avenue (northeast corner).
  • Proceed down East 2nd to Potash Avenue.
  • Keep intersections clear.
  • Overflow traffic will park along East 3rd Street (south curb).
  • Please remain in your vehicle during distribution.

🏢 United Way Food Distribution – Scottsbluff

  • Start Date: Friday, October 31
  • Time: 10:00 AM – Noon (or until food runs out)
  • Location: United Way Office, 1517 Broadway, Suite 106
  • Details: One Distribution per household 

🍽️ Community Table Partnership – Alliance

  • Date: Wednesday, November 5
  • Time: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
  • Location: Community Table, 123 W. 3rd Street
  • Details: Evening meal and food distribution available to the public.

💝 How to Help Community members and businesses are encouraged to support these efforts:

  • Drop off non-perishable goods at:
    • 1517 Broadway, Suite 16, Scottsbluff
    • 723 Flack Ave, Alliance
  • Make a monetary donation at www.uwwn.org/donate (memo: “food”) or mail to either office.

All donations will be used to provide immediate food assistance to families in need.
