UWWN Welcomes Gochoel as New Director of Development

UNITED WAY OF WESTERN NEBRASKA

ANNOUCES NEW DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

 

Scottsbluff – The United Way of Western Nebraska Board of Directors is pleased to announce Stephanie Gochoel has accepted the position of Director of Development. She began her position on March 28th.

UWWN Executive Director Karen Benzel noted, “Ms. Gochoel is a great addition to the United Way team. She is passionate about the community and those that United Way serves. She has familiarity with many of United Way’s partner agencies and is positioned to help United Way grow into the future.”

Gochoel has been with Scottsbluff Public Schools in their Sixpence program since 2019. She has a strong passion for children and families and looks forward to serving the communities of Western Nebraska in her role as Director of Development. Gochoel remarked, "I have a deeply rooted passion for child welfare, early childhood and advocacy for families. I am excited for the opportunity to further explore the ways in which I can combine my experiences and passions, to serve our community here in Western Nebraska with the United way. I am thankful for the opportunity to join Karen Benzel and the board and look forward to the work we do in the future.”

UWWN Board President Jason Rogers commented on the hiring, “The Board of Directors for United Way of Western Nebraska is very excited to have Stephanie Gochoel on staff. United Way has been doing tremendous work in the panhandle for many years thanks to the partnerships that have been developed by our dedicated staff. Loyal donors and all of our partners have made it possible for United Way to assist local agencies in carrying out their missions to improve the lives of all they serve. Stephanie’s talents will help her to continue those partnerships, engage with our donors, and work to expand United Way’s presence in the panhandle. We look forward to Stephanie being an important part of fulfilling United Way’s mission: to unite people and resources of Western Nebraska to build a stronger, healthier, and more compassionate community.”

Gochoel will continue to be based in the Scottsbluff United Way office. The Director of Development works closely with the Executive Director to carry out the role of United Way and foster growth in the organization. United Way of Western Nebraska staff work collaboratively throughout the entire United Way of Western Nebraska service area.

United Way of Western Nebraska is a nonprofit organization that unites people and resources to build a stronger, healthier and more compassionate community.
